1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Tifunbox platform (website, mobile app, or any related services), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our platform.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Tifunbox ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), a company incorporated under the laws of India.

Important: By creating an account or placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Platform Description

Tifunbox is a digital marketplace that connects customers with home-based chefs ("Chefs") who prepare and deliver homemade food. Our platform facilitates these connections but does not directly prepare, sell, or deliver food.

Our Role

  • Provide a platform for chefs and customers to connect
  • Process payments and facilitate transactions
  • Verify chef credentials and maintain quality standards
  • Provide customer support and dispute resolution
  • Maintain platform security and user safety

What We Don't Do

  • Prepare, cook, or handle food directly
  • Own or operate the kitchens where food is prepared
  • Employ the chefs who use our platform
  • Control the specific ingredients or cooking methods used

3. User Accounts and Eligibility

Eligibility Requirements

To use Tifunbox, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements
  • Not be prohibited from using our services under applicable law
  • Maintain only one active account per person

Account Responsibilities

  • Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date account information
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account
  • Not share your account with others

Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or pose a risk to other users or our platform.

4. Chef Terms and Obligations

Chef Verification

To become a chef on our platform, you must complete our verification process, including:

  • Identity verification with government-issued ID
  • Food safety training and certification
  • Kitchen inspection and hygiene standards verification
  • Background check and reference verification
  • Tax registration and compliance documentation

Food Safety and Quality

As a chef, you agree to:

  • Maintain FSSAI compliance and food safety standards
  • Use fresh, quality ingredients and proper food handling practices
  • Accurately describe menu items, including ingredients and allergens
  • Prepare food in clean, hygienic kitchen conditions
  • Package food safely and securely for delivery
  • Comply with local health department regulations

Order Fulfillment

  • Accept orders only when you can fulfill them within the promised timeframe
  • Communicate promptly with customers about order status or issues
  • Coordinate with delivery partners for timely pickup
  • Honor your published menu prices and availability
  • Provide excellent customer service and address complaints professionally

Payments and Fees

Chef payments are subject to our commission structure and payment terms:

  • Platform commission: 15-20% per order (varies by location and volume)
  • Payment processing fees: 2-3% per transaction
  • Weekly payment cycles to your registered bank account
  • Tax compliance and reporting requirements apply

5. Customer Terms and Responsibilities

Ordering and Payment

  • Provide accurate delivery information and be available during delivery window
  • Pay for orders using valid payment methods
  • Review order details carefully before confirming purchase
  • Communicate dietary restrictions and allergies clearly
  • Treat chefs and delivery partners with respect

Cancellations and Modifications

Order modifications and cancellations are subject to chef availability and timing:

  • Modifications allowed up to 2 hours before scheduled delivery
  • Cancellations may incur charges if food preparation has begun
  • Refund requests processed according to our refund policy
  • Emergency cancellations handled on a case-by-case basis

Reviews and Feedback

  • Provide honest, constructive feedback about your experience
  • Base reviews on actual food quality and service received
  • Avoid discriminatory, offensive, or inappropriate language
  • Report genuine safety or quality concerns promptly

6. Payments, Pricing, and Refunds

Payment Processing

  • All payments processed securely through third-party payment gateways
  • Accepted payment methods: Credit/debit cards, UPI, digital wallets, net banking
  • Prices displayed in Indian Rupees (INR) inclusive of applicable taxes
  • Payment authorization required before order confirmation
  • Failed payments will result in order cancellation

Pricing and Fees

  • Food prices set by individual chefs and may vary
  • Delivery charges applied based on distance and order value
  • Service charges and taxes added as applicable
  • Promotional discounts and offers subject to specific terms
  • Prices may change without notice, but confirmed orders honor original prices

Refund Policy

Refunds are provided in the following circumstances:

  • Food Safety Issues: Full refund for contaminated or unsafe food
  • Order Not Delivered: Full refund if order fails to arrive
  • Incorrect Order: Refund or replacement for wrong items delivered
  • Quality Issues: Partial or full refund based on severity of issue
  • Chef Cancellation: Full refund if chef cancels after payment

Refund requests must be submitted within 24 hours of order delivery. Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days to the original payment method.

Note: Refunds are not provided for personal taste preferences, minor delays within acceptable time windows, or customer unavailability during delivery.

7. Delivery and Service Terms

Delivery Service

Delivery services are provided by third-party delivery partners. While we coordinate deliveries, we cannot guarantee exact delivery times due to factors beyond our control.

Service Areas

  • Service availability varies by location and chef coverage
  • Delivery areas subject to change based on operational requirements
  • Remote or difficult-to-access locations may incur additional charges
  • Weather and traffic conditions may affect delivery times

Service Limitations

  • We do not guarantee availability of specific chefs or menu items
  • Service hours vary by chef and location
  • Platform maintenance may temporarily affect service availability
  • High demand periods may result in longer wait times

8. Prohibited Uses and Content

Prohibited Activities

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

  • Violate any local, state, national, or latonational law
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users, chefs, or delivery partners
  • Use the platform for fraudulent or deceptive purposes
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems

  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent platform rules
  • Use automated tools or bots to access our services

Content Guidelines

User-generated content (reviews, photos, comments) must not contain:

  • False, misleading, or defamatory information
  • Hate speech, discriminatory language, or offensive content
  • Personal information of other users without consent
  • Copyrighted material without proper authorization
  • Spam, promotional content, or commercial solicitations

Violations: Violation of these terms may result in account suspension, termination, legal action, and reporting to relevant authorities.

9. Intellectual Property Rights

Our Intellectual Property

The Tifunbox platform, including its design, features, content, and technology, is protected by intellectual property laws. This includes:

  • Trademarks, logos, and brand elements
  • Software, algorithms, and platform functionality
  • Website design, layout, and user interface
  • Marketing materials and content
  • Data compilation and organization methods

User-Generated Content

By submitting content to our platform (reviews, photos, etc.), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, modify, and display such content for platform operations and marketing.

Copyright Infringement

If you believe your copyrighted work has been used without authorization, please contact us with detailed information about the alleged infringement.

10. Disclaimers and Limitations

Platform Disclaimer

Tifunbox provides the platform "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

  • Unlatorupted or error-free platform operation
  • Food quality, safety, or satisfaction
  • Chef reliability or service quality
  • Delivery timing or success
  • Compatibility with all devices or browsers

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tifunbox's liability for any damages arising from your use of our platform is limited to:

  • The amount you paid for the specific transaction in question
  • Maximum of ₹10,000 for any single incident
  • No liability for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages
  • No liability for third-party actions (chefs, delivery partners)

Important: These limitations may not apply in all jurisdictions. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by these terms.

11. Dispute Resolution

We encourage resolving disputes through our customer support team first:

  • Contact support within 24 hours of the incident
  • Provide detailed information about the issue
  • Allow reasonable time for investigation and resolution
  • Cooperate in good faith to reach a mutually acceptable solution

Arbitration

If latonal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 2015, conducted in Mohali, Punjab, India.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any legal proceedings must be brought in the courts of Mohali, Punjab, India.

12. Modifications and Updates

We may modify these Terms at any time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices. When we make material changes:

  • We'll notify active users via email or app notification
  • Changes will be posted on our platform with the updated date
  • You'll have 30 days to review changes before they take effect
  • Continued use after the effective date indicates acceptance

If you don't agree to the updated Terms, you may terminate your account before the changes take effect.
